If you're passionate about travel, especially within Africa, we invite you to explore our current vacancies. Our goal is to continually expand our team with individuals who are not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic but also share a deep-rooted passion for Africa.

As a Safari Travel Consultant, you play a key role in crafting journeys that inspire, educate, and delight our clients.

As a consultant, you'll accompany our travellers throughout their journey: from the initial enquiry, offering advice, creating quotes, refining trip plans, making bookings, to gathering feedback post-trip. Exceptional administrative skills and impeccable attention to detail are crucial.

We're looking for individuals who are:

- Customer-focused, confident, well-travelled, and natural conversationalists, bringing their unique personality to work.
- Not only keen on sales but also passionate about ensuring a seamless booking experience for our customers.

Our ideal applicant will:

- Be a native or near-native English speaker.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about travel, ideally having firsthand experience in long-haul destination travel.
- Have travelled to or show a willingness to visit the areas we operate in, particularly East and Southern Africa.
- Possess an interest and understanding of Southern and East African safari destinations, or be a quick learner.
- Preferably have travel sales experience.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
- Be adept at managing their time efficiently across various stages of the customer journey.
- Have experience with CRM and/or booking systems or be a quick learner.
- Be a positive, collaborative team member.
- Be open to working on weekends on a rotational basis.

Qualifications and experience:

- A bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Two years of experience in a similar role or in the travel industry is preferred but not required.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Engage with potential travellers to understand their requirements and provide initial consultations.
- Draft, refine, and customize itineraries based on travellers' preferences and feedback.
- Coordinate with service providers to ensure smooth trip execution.
- Continually update knowledge on destinations, accommodations, and activities in East and Southern Africa.
- Handle post-trip feedback and address any concerns to ensure complete traveller satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, ensuring all traveller interactions are logged and up-to-date.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills.
- A one-year contract to begin with, offering a minimum of 32 hours per week, and with the ultimate goal of transitioning to a permanent contract.
- Prime office seating with stunning city views plus the option to work from home part of the time.
- Travel allowance for commuting.
- 26 days of annual leave.
- An educational trip annually, allowing you to gain firsthand knowledge that you can share with clients and colleagues.
- Yearly performance-based bonus (based on company result).
